Japanese culture is a bully culture. Bullying is built right in to the culture as an accepted form of behavior correction for those who don’t go along with the group. The ultra polite facade everybody puts on is just masking the ugliness.
The Youtube video below shows a text book example. It’s one of the most disgusting examples of what Japanese culture is really like. Intimidation, harassment, and bullying is the backbone of how things work here in my opinion
What the video shows is several Japanese men going to the home of an elderly mother whose son is one of the distributors of the Cove movie. Its really disgusting as they use intimidation tactics against an old woman who has nothing to do with The Cove movie.
This event was talked about on Debito.org. In the blog post there was this tidbit that sums things up, “As you can see, the woman is elderly. She has nothing to do with the distribution of the film. This is intimidation of the lowest order.”

If you think what those men are doing is disgusting leave a comment, spread the word. You won’t change the Japanese but you can spread what some Japanese are like to a wider audience which they dislike.
